A Global Call to Action:
RING BELLS FOR PEACE for a World Without War at the exact moment of the Hiroshima bombing.
Join a Clarion Call to Ring Bells for Peace and a World Without War. Ring bells at the moment of the bombing: in Japan, Aug. 6, 8:15 AM; in NYC, Aug. 5, 7:15 PM, followed by a minute of PRAYERS FOR PEACE& a global singing John Lennon’s “Imagine.”
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the U.S. dropping of the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Let’s commemorate this horrific event and declare never again by ringing bells around the world. Last year, bells tolled around the world including Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Georgia (Eastern Europe) and throughout the U.S.
The past 31 years, Universal Peace Day has commemorated the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with events worldwide. Our goal is to transform this remembrance of horror into a re-dedication to Life and Peace.
Please e-mail us if you or your organization will be participating in Ringing Bells for Peace and a World Without War. We appreciate your spreading the word to your network to join in this global event. Thank you!
